Its an event where I use a ladder instead of bracket. Participants can challenge others in the ladder. The winner will get points while the loser will lose points. After 1 month, the one with the most points will win.
Winners get 3 points, draw is 1 point, loser gets nothing. Also I will keep track of the win/lost ratio

1. January TCG format.
2. TCG cards are legal OCG cards are not
3. If new cards are introduced to the game during the format those cards can be used.
4. Matches
5. Cheating will result in a match loss.
6. If someone disconnects they will get a game loss.

I think you work better like the soccer does in my country. Winners get 3 points, draw is 1 point, loser gets nothing. Also keep a table with how many Wins/draws/losses. That way when there's an equal on points, you can see who won the most.
To determine who wins, devide the points by the matches played, then you can see how well they did per match. (Only apply this when 5 or more matches are played)
